Financial Management
Class description
While we want homebuyers to know what to expect when looking for a home, we also want them to learn how to be financially secure. Financial Management is a series of eight classes that educates participants on how to become financially responsible homeowners. Classes cover these topics: Credit, Consumer protection, Budgeting, Selecting a home/home purchase process, Debt reduction, Insurance and long-term planning, Savings/investing, Basic home and financial maintenance
Classes are small, creating a comfortable learning environment where you have the one-on-one attention of the instructor. Financial Management classes are free.
Prerequisite
Participants need to complete the Introduction to Home Ownership class before taking Financial Management.
Location
Classes are held at ICCF, located at 920 Cherry Street SE.

“Before Financial Management, I made all my decisions with little or no education. After Financial Management, I make much more informed and educated decisions.
I have found ways to address my financial situations for now and the future. I learned how to plan and invest, how to reduce debt, save and how not be taken advantage of.
It empowers me to live a more productive life.”
